Revenant would probably be a better third class for that list, thanks to exceptionally high passive healing (mostly from battle scars, but retribution and herald traits contribute as well) and lots of traits that reduce incoming damage and grant defensive boons. 5. The 5 skill that sends all the mobs flying is hilarious. Melee Mirage has a wonderful playstyle zipping around, constantly dodging, and spamming clones. Guardians, Necromancers (especially Scourges) make the better WvW group classes. If you're solo you want escapes, damage, and some sustain. Thieves and mesmers make the best roaming classes. But honestly if you have the gear and the build a lot of things are viable. Meanwhile, for Spvp it depends what you want to do. r/Guildwars2 • 1 yr. ago JackUSA Most fun class for beginners? [Question] Hi all, With the Steam release, I’ve been thinking of jumping in and have been looking up classes/professions to see which is the funnest and easiest to play. For some context, I love playing ranged classes such as Bard in FFXIV and Bow/Bow in ESO. surprised that Norn close to Charr by popularity - second from the bottom of the list. Norns pretty good for fashion wars perspective, Medium cultural armor just best cultural ever. I am stick on guard norn, and also play on Norn Holo and Thief, but not a lot. For me personally, from my perception - Norns much more popular than asura. The 1-80 is already relatively easy compared to expacs and such, so being max level, (even though you do scale down), will make it even easier/more boring. Also, the combat system is actually quite deep, so having it all thrown at you at once can be a bit deflating. If you don’t want to level up, use the booster. Ranger: longbow, shortbow, mainhand axe, and war horn are all ranged weapons and powerful options. Thief: scepter specter is very meta and ranged. Deadeye has pistols and rifle as well, but not super meta for group content. Engineer: rifle engineer is exceptionally powerful and simple to play right now. Like, overpowered level. Follow the tag and spam aoes. No matter what you play, "hard to kill" means just staying with the tag. You get healing from supports in your subgroup and your allies will soak up aoe damage so you don't get spiked. Survival is mostly about movement in WvW, so focus on learning that. While learning you can use Marauder gear for a bit of an extra tvDgu.
